  • The cost of auditing a course is the same as the cost of a credit course.
  • Many courses require laboratory fees, distance learning fees, and / or insurance costs in addition to tuition fees per credit.
  • Full fees (equivalent to non-resident school fees) will be assessed for students who repeat the course for the third time. (See Complete Costs of Instructions, Maximum Efforts, Class Forgiveness, and Withdrawals for more information.)
  • Personal checks are accepted only for the right amount of fees.
  • Students assume responsibility for dropping classes before the end of the drop period for each term and session. Otherwise, payments will be expected, regardless of attendance. For each term and session, please review the Academic Calendar for these important dates.

TRUTH CLOCK ADVISORY STATEMENT

Because many of our graduates will eventually move to public universities, students must know the new provisions that affect the cost of university tuition. Section 1009,286, as amended by the Florida Statute, specifies an additional "excess hour" fee of 100% for students seeking a bachelor's degree at a state university. It is important that students, including those entering Florida colleges, realize the potential for additional course fees.

"Overdue hours" are defined as hours that exceed 115% of the hours required for a baccalaureate degree program. For example, if the program length is 120 credit hours, students can be charged an additional hour for each credit that is done outside 138 credit hours (120 x 115%).

All students whose educational plans include obtaining a bachelor's degree must try their best to register and successfully complete the courses required for the intended course at their first attempt. Florida students who intend to move to a public university must identify the main program or "transfer" earlier and be informed of the admission requirements for the program, including the agreed general prerequisites. Withdrawal of courses and / or repetitions, as well as registration in courses that are not important for the intended department, can contribute to the potential additional additional hours.

This law was passed by the Legislature to encourage each student to complete a bachelor's degree in a manner that is as efficient as possible.
