Daytona State College of Business Administration is a 4 year degree program-bachelor of applied science in supervision and management.

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Supervision and Management program uses a 2+2 model, requiring the completion of an associate degree for entry into the program. It is designed to provide a flexible schedule to meet the needs of non-traditional students in the community; it can be 100% online or through a combination of online and half online/half face-to-face, and hybrid courses.

This is a comprehensive, integrated program of study that includes courses in business writing, accounting, human resources management, operational decision making, information systems and strategy.

BAS Program Mission Statement

To provide access for students to earn a quality baccalaureate education that aligns with the College and program outcomes to meet local business and industry management workforce needs. Students will broaden their knowledge of management skills, be creative thinkers in an applied business environment, practice behaviors in business that are centered in ethical and socially responsible relationships, and cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit that provides career choices and encourages lifelong learning.


Program Overview

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management program can prepare you for advancement in your field. Associate degree programs prepare graduates to enter the job market in entry level or midlevel positions. Upper-level coursework in the BAS program can broaden your knowledge of applied business practices and prepare you for higher-level management and supervisory opportunities.

Students who have earned an associate degree from an accredited institution are eligible to apply for admission to Daytona State's BAS in Supervision and Management program.

Admission Requirements for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management Program

Applications are accepted year-round and students may start the program during any semester of the academic year. There is no application fee. Admission to the BAS program is open to all applicants who meet the admission requirements.



Requirements for admission to the BAS program:

Applicants must complete a Bachelor of Applied Science Application for Admission. You may complete an application to the BAS degree program in the admissions office, the program office, or online at Daytona State College site. All applicants must provide an official transcript from all previous institutions attended.

Applicants must have earned an associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Those with AA degrees who have completed all core general education courses will be required to complete a total of 18 credits in an occupational/ technical area (e.g., accounting technology, computer science, business, etc.). Other associate degree graduates must complete additional core general education courses. Associate degree applicants must have earned an overall grade point average of 2.0 in their associate degree program.

College or university transfer applicants from a regionally accredited college or university must have earned at least 60 college credit hours. Applicants must have received a grade of "C" or better in all core general education courses that transfer into the BAS program. All applicants must provide an official transcript from all previous institutions attended. Transfer students must meet Gordon Rule requirements.
