Florida State Grants. This time we will share information about grants from Florida and from the Daytona State College, for students at DSC.
Daytona State Need Grant
Funded by the College, this needs-based grant is intended for undergraduate students who have not previously completed a baccalaureate or professional degree and who pursue A.A., U.S., A.A.S., B.A.S., or B.S. degree, or a college credit certificate program that meets the requirements. Feasibility is based on financial needs. The maximum per semester in general is only $1,000. Available funds are limited, due to special circumstances, exceptions can be made to provide the Daytona State Needs Grant to students who have completed a baccalaureate or professional degree.
Daytona State Vocational Needs Grant
Funded by the College, this needs-based grant is intended for undergraduate students who have not previously completed a baccalaureate or professional degree and who are enrolled in a vocational certificate program (hours) that qualify. Feasibility is based on financial needs. Max. Grant per semester, usually only $1,000. Limited funds available.

Florida Student Aid Grant (FSAG)
Funded by the State of Florida, this needs-based grant is intended for Florida residents who qualify who are enrolled in college credit degree programs that work towards a first bachelor's degree. The award rate is based on the allocation of the country and varies every year. Special extension requirements must be met. For example, a student must obtain a minimum cumulative GPA (GPA) of at least 2.0, and a development / remedial course not included in the cumulative GPA; a student must have successfully completed each semester of credit whose registration status is determined. Funds are limited.

Florida Grant Program for Post-Secondary Career Student Education Assistance
Funded by the state of Florida, this needs-based grant is intended for Florida residents who meet the requirements listed in a 450-hour or more certificate program at a public college center or career center operated by the district school council. Students must work towards the first bachelor's degree. The award rate is based on the allocation of the country and varies every year. Special extension requirements must be met. [For example, a student must obtain a minimum cumulative GPA (GPA) of 2.0 and a development / improvement program not included in the cumulative GPA; a student must have successfully completed each semester, the time clock that determines the registration status.] Funds are limited.
First Generation Match Grants
Funded by the State of Florida, this needs-based grant is intended for eligible Florida residents whose parents have not received a bachelor's degree or higher. Students must work towards the first bachelor's degree. The level of appreciation is based on state allocations and depends on appropriate contributions from private sources each year. Special extension requirements must be met. Limited funds.
